Amidst the worldwide pandemic, Holy Cross High School (HCHS) celebrated its 93rd Founding Anniversary last July 15, 2021, with so much hope and enthusiasm. This year’s theme, “Living the Fruits of Service and Commitment, A Reflection of God’s Burning Grace”, is a declaration of gratitude and passion to those who contributed to the school’s improvement.

Although without the presence of the students physically, the school decided to pursue the celebration in a simple yet meaningful way. Part of the celebration was the Quiz Bee in Bible and Chinese held last July 13, 2021. It was participated by the faculty and staff of the different departments. The winner for the Bible Quiz Bee was the Elementary Department. For the Chinese Quiz Bee, the winner is Teacher Jamaica Lozada of the Elementary Department as well. The celebration culminated last July 15, 2021, with a virtual celebration of the Holy Eucharist officiated by Rev. Fr. Johny A. Molina, LRMS. The mass started at 8:00 AM and was followed by a Virtual Program presented through Facebook Live which was created to invite us to look back to the memories from our previous ways of celebrating Founder’s Day before the onset of COVID-19 and to showcase the developments of the school despite the pandemic.

We may not be able to celebrate face-to-face, but our hearts are one in commemoration of our dear Holy Cross High School. Long live HCHS!
