DUMAGUETE CITY, September 28, 2021— Holy Cross High School (HCHS) celebrates the Feast Day of San Lorenzo Ruiz, the Patron Saint of Lorenzo Ruiz Mission Society (LRMS).

Every year in September 28, students, faculty, and staff of Holy Cross High School commemorate San Lorenzo Ruiz’s martyrdom. Due to the present difficulties, students attend the celebrations virtually to reflect on the many inspiring qualities of San Lorenzo Ruiz.

Each class had a nine-day novena prayer from September 19 to 27, 2021 to honor the occasion. Rev. Fr. Jomar Burgos, on behalf of the LRMS congregation, shared videos that focused on the following:

September 19, 2021 – Called to Serve at An Early Age

San Lorenzo Ruiz Feast Day is an opportunity for us to pray, ponder, and recall the martyr’s special significance.  San Lorenzo said, “If I had a thousand lives, I’d give them all to Jesus,” San Lorenzo further stated,“Even if it meant my life, I would never reject my faith.” He devoted his entire life to serving God and dying for Him.

SAN LORENZO RUIZ, PRAY FOR US!
