The teaching of values at Holy Cross High School is centered on three main themes:
The pursuit of Filipino core values anchored on the thrust of the Department of Education and Christian idealism and achieving this idealism through the practice of values emphasized in the Chinese Culture.
- The thrust of the Department of Education is to inculcate to every students/pupils the four Filipino core values namely:

- Makakalikasan

- Maka-Diyos
- The Eight Virtues 八德
- Loyalty 忠
- Filial Piety / Respect and Love of Elders 孝
- Compassion / Kindness 仁
- Love 愛
- Trustworthiness信
- Sincerity to Fellowmen and Sense of Fairness 義
- Peace 和
- Harmony 平
- The Four Anchors or The Four Social Bonds: 四維
- Courtesy/Propriety 禮
- Righteousness 義
- Integrity/Honesty/Incorruptibility 廉
- Sense of Shame 恥
Note: Together, the Eight Virtues 八德 and the Four Anchors 四維 comprise the core of Confucian Ethics commonly known in Chinese as 四維八德 and popularly known as the principles of character building 做人的道理.
